Manchester City have agreed to allow Harry Bunn to remain with Sheffield United on a loan basis.
The 20-year-old joined the Blades on a 28-day loan deal at the beginning of September and he went on to make two substitute appearances for the League One outfit.
United manager David Weir had since expressed his eagerness to keep hold of the striker and the Premier League outfit have now sanctioned the deal, which will run until the end of this month.
Bunn has previously had stints with Rochdale, Preston North End, Oldham Athletic and Crewe Alexandra.
