Manchester City executive Patrick Vieira says that the questions regarding manager Roberto Mancini's future are part and parcel of the game.

Manchester City football development executive Patrick Vieira has admitted that he is not surprised that the media ask questions regarding manager Robert Mancini's possible exit from the club.

The Italian recently revealed that he had been approached by seven or eight clubs during the summer following City's Premier League-title win but when quizzed by the media on his potential departure from the club, Mancini hit back angrily by insisting that he was committed to the North West outfit.

"That is a part of the game," BBC Sport quotes Vieira as saying. "People are like that and you people, journalists, try to find the little things that will sell more papers and will get more people listening to the news but this is a part of our game and we accept it, no problem at all."

Mancini signed a new five-year deal at the Etihad Stadium in the summer.
