Kolo Toure: 'Brother Yaya wants to play for Pep Guardiola'

Kolo Toure says that his brother Yaya wants to play under incoming manager Pep Guardiola at Manchester City.

Liverpool defender Kolo Toure has claimed that his brother Yaya Toure does want to play for new Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola.

There have been suggestions that the midfielder will leave the Etihad Stadium once Guardiola officially replaces Manuel Pellegrini in the summer.

Toure was sold by the current Bayern Munich boss in 2010 while the pair were at Barcelona, but his brother believes that the midfielder will remain at City.

"Everybody wants to play for Pep," the Manchester Evening News quotes Kolo as saying. "He is a top manager. They know each other very well and I don't think it will be a problem if they keep working together.

"I guess Yaya wants to play for Pep but it depends on what he is thinking and what Pep is thinking. It is a difficult question. He is my younger brother but I leave him to take his decisions for his career."

Yaya scored the winning penalty in City's League Cup final victory over Liverpool on Sunday.
