Manchester City youngster Luca Scapuzzi has returned to the club after having his loan spell at Portsmouth cut short.
The 21-year-old Italian joined the Championship strugglers on a temporary basis last month but only made two substitute appearances.
Portsmouth boss Michael Appleton confirmed that the midfielder had rejoined City and told the club's official website: "He's a little bit frustrated because he's not made as many appearances as he would have liked.
"But we wish him all the best for the future back at Manchester City."
Pompey have however elected to keep hold of his City teammate Karim Rekik, who has featured six times since signing alongside Scapuzzi in March.
