Manuel Pellegrini hails Manchester City's "complete" performance

Manuel Pellegrini says that he is pleased with Manchester City's display in their 5-1 win at Tottenham Hotspur.

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has hailed his side's "complete" performance against Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday.

The Citizens won 5-1 at White Hart Lane to move into pole position in the Premier League table.

"I'm delighted not only because we are at the top of the league, but the team played very well," the Daily Mail quotes the Chilean as saying.

"Away from home maybe that is the best we have played, it is a good moment. It is not easy to score here in this stadium and I repeat we missed at least five or six clear chances. We defended well, that's why the performance was complete.

"They are a very good team who are in a good moment. We missed at least five, but we scored five. We are not thinking about the title because we still gave 15 games to play in the title, it is important."

City are a point clear of Arsenal at the top.
