Manuel Pellegrini: 'Everton will be tough'

Manuel Pellegrini does not expect Everton to make it easy for Manchester City to win at Goodison Park on Saturday.

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has admitted that his side will need to be at their best if they are to keep their title challenge going with a win away to Everton on Saturday evening.

Pellegrini said that while the destination of the title is in his own side's hands it means nothing unless they can win their remaining three league games.

"I think that Everton at any stage of the season will be a very difficult team, Roberto Martinez has done a very good job," he said in his pre-match press conference. "We are sure that we are going to have a very tough game there.

"In football you never know, so the important thing for us is to think about what we can do and the only thing we can do is to try to win our games."

City would move top of the Premier League with a win at Goodison Park.
