Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville has claimed that Manchester City winger Leroy Sane has the potential to be "devastating" in the Premier League.
Sane joined City from Schalke 04 for a reported £37m in the summer but is yet to complete a full 90 minutes in the Premier League under Pep Guardiola.
However, Neville believes that he has shown glimpses of becoming a key player for City once he settles into life in the English top flight.
"I think Sane for me – there's a few things that I've seen in him the last couple of times. I think the first time I saw him was the Manchester derby and I wasn't sure – he looked a bit timid. I still think there is a bit of timidness to him but he's so young," he told Sky Sports News.
"He's shown glimpses in the Chelsea game and the game [against Arsenal] that make me think he could be pretty special.
"You always think of it as 'would I like to play against him?' He's got electric pace. He looks like he could – once he gets the belief and confidence and settles into the league with maturity – he could be devastating."
Sane scored his first league goal for City during their 2-1 victory over Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
