Manchester City reportedly sell 36,000 season tickets in record time ahead of the new Premier League season.

Manchester City have reportedly sold 36,000 season tickets in record time as fans flock to secure their seat for next season.

Roberto Mancini's side, who won the Premier League last season, will reportedly receive an additional £50m due to the increased demand.

"Interest in the club is higher than ever. Last season we sold out as the season was starting, and this season they had all gone within the first two weeks of June," a spokesman for the club stated.

"Demand is significantly exceeding supply. We are advising supporters to become Blue members, if they are not already, to give them the best possible opportunity to be a part of it next season."

City boss Mancini recently signed a new five-year deal with the club.
