Manchester City striker Wilfried Bony suffers leg injury

Manchester City striker Wilfried Bony appears set for a spell on the sidelines after sharing an image of himself on crutches with a medical boot.

Manchester City striker Wilfried Bony has suffered a left leg injury that will keep him out for around three weeks.

The Ivory Coast international shared a picture of himself, below, on crutches and with a medical boot.

City boss Manuel Pellegrini confirmed at a press conference on Friday that Bony had suffered a cut and would miss Saturday's visit of Watford.

The 26-year-old is expected to be fit after the upcoming international break, so could be ready to face Crystal Palace on September 12.

Bony joined City from Swansea City in January and has scored two goals in 15 appearances since.
