Half-Time Report: Stoke City, Manchester City level at interval

Stoke City are unable to break the deadlock against Manchester City despite having clear chances.

Stoke City and Manchester City are level in a curious game where the visitors have had more possession but the clearer chances have fell to the hosts.

Stevan Jovetic, given his first start for the Blues, tried to open his account inside 15 minutes but couldn't convert his chance when he had strike partner Alvaro Negredo in space.

In truth, the visitors had very few clear chances in the first half despite enjoying more possession with Stoke posing a greater threat in attack.

Steven Nzonzi found space on the half-hour mark but with only Joe Hart to beat he hit his shot straight at the England international.

Minutes later Kenwyne Jones broke clear, but his effort was too close to Hart who made the block.

Manchester City have never won a Premier League game at the Britannia Stadium.
