Sergio Aguero scored a late first-half equaliser for Manchester City to level the scores at the halfway point of their Premier League visit to Fulham's Craven Cottage.
The hosts went ahead courtesy of a controversial penalty on 10 minutes.
Mladen Petric sent Joe Hart the wrong way with his spot kick, after referee Mark Halsey had deemed that Pablo Zabaleta had fouled John Arne Riise inside the 18-yard box.
However, replays showed that the initial contact had occurred outside of the penalty area.
The Premier League champions went close to equalising midway through the half, but Aguero fired into the side netting from six yards.
Carlos Tevez then had a legitimate penalty shout turned down, after he had appeared to have been tugged back by Riise.
The leveller finally came on 42 minutes when David Silva's instinctive effort was parried by Mark Schwarzer into the path of Aguero, who tapped home from two yards.
