Manchester City have bid £30m in an attempt to sign Raheem Sterling from Liverpool, according to a report.
The 20-year-old has been linked with an exit from Anfield after his agent claimed that he had no intention of penning a new contract with the Reds.
City along with rivals Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea are all vying to sign the England international this summer.
However, the Citizens have made the first move towards a potential deal by offering Liverpool £25m for Sterling, with a further £5m in add-ons, reports The Mirror.
The winger's current contract with Liverpool expires in 2017.
