Liverpool to prioritise new contracts for Virgil van Dijk, Alisson?

Liverpool are reportedly working to agree contract extensions with defender Virgil van Dijk and goalkeeper Alisson Becker.

Liverpool are reportedly prioritising contract extensions for Virgil van Dijk and Alisson.

With the Merseyside giants sitting 22 points clear at the top of the Premier League table, there is already speculation regarding potential big-money arrivals in the summer.

However, The Independent claims that Jurgen Klopp's main focus away from the pitch is to secure the long-term futures of two of his key men.

While Van Dijk and Alisson Becker already have deals until 2023 and 2024 respectively, the report says that there is a desire to hand fresh terms to the duo as soon as possible.

Both players are said to be eager to reach a positive resolution with the club having made a pivotal contribution during their time at Anfield.
