Liverpool defender Martin Kelly is understood to be on the verge of a £1.5m move to Crystal Palace.

The 24-year-old's representative have been holding talks with the Eagles over the past 24 hours.

A deal for the youngster is now expected to be completed by the end of the week, according to the Daily Mail.

The full-back has struggled for appearances during the past two seasons due to persistent injury problems.

However, Kelly recently claimed that he was keen to stay with Liverpool and fight for a place in the first team.
