Luis Suarez has been handed a one-match suspension by the Football Associaiton for making a one-fingered gesture to Fulham supporters earlier this month.
The FA decided to charge the Uruguayan striker with improper conduct following the incident at Craven Cottage, a charge that Suarez went on to accept.
Suarez will now miss Liverpool's next Premier League match against Newcastle United at Anfield on Friday.
The suspension has ended a difficult month for Suarez personally, having recently been dealt an eight-game ban for racially abusing Manchester United full-back Patrice Evra.
Liverpool have also been given a £25,000 fine for failing to control their players during the 1-0 loss to Fulham.
The punishment relates to the player's reaction to Jay Spearing's red card.
