Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers believes that striker Luis Suarez should scoop the Premier League's Player of the Year award following his prolific campaign with the Reds.
While Tottenham Hotspur winger Gareth Bale and Manchester United frontman Robin van Persie are strong contenders to receive the honour, Rodgers believes that the Uruguay international, who has scored 25 goals this season, deserves to beat the duo to it.
"There's many great players in this league but for me he has been absolutely outstanding," Rodgers said in a press conference.
"If I look across the board this is a guy who had to play alone up front because he was the only striker we had for nearly six months and never missed a day's training and played every minute of every game."
Liverpool are preparing to take on Wigan Athletic in the Premier League this Saturday.
