Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp admits that Merseyside rivals Everton have done some "really good business" during the current transfer window.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has admitted that Merseyside rivals Everton have done some "really good business" during the current transfer window, but insists that he is still confident about his side's chances against the Toffees.

Everton have been one of the busiest clubs during the summer market so far, bringing in the likes of Wayne Rooney, Michael Keane, Davy Klaassen and Jordan Pickford amongst others as they look to bridge the gap to the top six.

Liverpool, in comparison, have signed Mohamed Salah, Andrew Robertson and Dominic Solanke, but Klopp is unconcerned by the level of activity across Stanley Park.

"Yes, I heard, of course a few things that they have done. Strikers, good. Wayne Rooney, you don't have to talk about. The centre-half came. Good. So a lot of really good business. Klaassen. So it's all good," he told reporters.

"But, at the end of the day, just like us, they can only line up 11 players. Then we have to see what will happen. But all the teams have tried to get stronger.

"With Everton, usually derbies are really close games. I don't think we have gone into any of the last few derbies thinking: 'It's only Everton.' No. There is a lot of respect and if they've done good business, well done. But when we face them we still want to win."

The first Merseyside derby of the 2017-18 campaign does not arrive until December.
