Stevan Jovetic confident Manchester City can upset Liverpool's charge

Stevan Jovetic is confident that Manchester City can beat Liverpool to take advantage in the Premier League title race.

Manchester City forward Stevan Jovetic is confident that his side's experience of Premier League glory will help them halt Liverpool's title charge this weekend.

The North-West outfit head to Anfield on Sunday four points behind leaders Liverpool in the table with two games in hand.

City clinched the league title in the 2011-12 campaign on goal difference over Manchester United courtesy of a late Sergio Aguero strike against Queens Park Rangers in the final game of the season.

"We must believe we can win all seven games, because we can do what we want, but it is important that we are in pole position," The Express quotes Jovetic as saying.

"The game against Liverpool will decide a lot of things, but even if we win that game there are more hard games to come.

"This squad has a lot of experience because we won the Premier League two years ago. We know how to play and keep the pressure down, and Liverpool have more pressure - we are going to win."

Chelsea are also in the running given that they are just two points behind Liverpool in the standings.
