Brad Jones: 'I want to play until I'm 40'

Liverpool goalkeeper Brad Jones wants to continue his playing career until he is 40 years old.

Brad Jones has said that he wants to continue his career until he is 40 years old.

The Liverpool goalkeeper, who turned 31 earlier this week, has already spent 12 years playing in England.

The Australian told Liverpoolfc.com: "I don't have any specific targets for the rest of my career, but I would like to possibly get to 40.

"There are plenty of keepers about that are in and around that age and if you can do it, you've got to make the most of it and play for as long as you can because once it's gone, it's gone and that's it, it just becomes a memory.

"There are definitely things you can do. Strength and conditioning is one of them. If your body is in good shape, then you've got more chance of not being injured."

Jones has made 15 appearances for Liverpool this season.
