Kenny Dalglish says that he is "delighted" to have spent a year as Liverpool's manager, but believes that the team can improve on the oitch.

Kenny Dalglish has stated that he wouldn't change a thing about the last 12 months as manager of Liverpool.

The Scotsman is closing in on a year the with Reds and has claimed that despite a positive season, the Merseyside club can improve on the pitch.

Liverpool have endured a negative period following the Football Association's decision to ban star striker Luis Suarez for eight matches after being found guilty of racially abusing Patrice Evra. However, Dalglish maintains that he is "delighted" to be at Anfield.

"It's been hectic and a bit eventful at times but I wouldn't have changed it," said Dalglish. "It's been busy, especially when the transfer windows have been open. On the football side of it you can see the progression that's been made on the pitch.

"Just being asked to come back, that's my highlight. I was very fortunate to be asked the question and when [owner] John Henry said he'd like me to stay on [in May], it was equally as much of a highlight.

"I'm delighted to be here and happy with the way things are going, but at the same time I think we can do better."

Dalglish will celebrate a year's anniversary on Sunday following an FA Cup clash against Oldham on Friday.
