Sports Mole rounds up the latest transfer talk for Liverpool on Tuesday, September 1.

The summer transfer window has now begun, with rumours and speculation continuing to swirl as Liverpool eye possible reinforcements.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings from Anfield.

Barcelona have been told that they must hand over £90m to sign Sadio Mane from Liverpool, according to a report.

The Catalan giants are rumoured to have turned to the Senegal international as a possible replacement for Lionel Messi, who looks set to leave Camp Nou this summer.

Mane has played a starring role in Liverpool's recent success, but the 28-year-old is rumoured to be open to joining Barca.

However, Mundo Deportivo claims that the Reds are demanding a big fee for Mane, who they are under no obligation to sell given that he has three years to run on his contract.

Liverpool have a history of losing key players to Barca, with the likes of Javier Mascherano, Luis Suarez and Philippe Coutinho all swapping Anfield for Camp Nou.

Mane played the full 90 minutes for Liverpool in Saturday's 1-1 Community Shield draw with Arsenal, which the Merseyside outfit lost on penalties.

Manchester United, Liverpool to battle for RB Salzburg striker Patson Daka?

Manchester United have reportedly joined Premier League rivals Liverpool in showing an interest in Red Bull Salzburg striker Patson Daka.

The 21-year-old starred for the Austrian outfit last season, scoring 24 goals in 31 games as they won their domestic league for the seventh year in a row despite losing Erling Braut Haaland to Borussia Dortmund in January.

Daka played against Liverpool in the Champions League last season and more recently impressed against Jurgen Klopp's side in a pre-season friendly, scoring twice in a 2-2 draw.

The Daily Mail reports that Liverpool have been mulling over a move but could now face competition from Manchester United, who have also identified the forward as a possible target.

Salzburg are thought to want at least £20m for Daka, who only signed a new five-year contract last year.

Current Liverpool players Sadio Mane, Naby Keita and Takumi Minamino have all featured for Salzburg in the past.
