The summer transfer window has now begun, with rumours and speculation continuing to swirl as Liverpool eye possible reinforcements.
Jurgen Klopp's champions have not been particularly busy during recent windows, but that has not stopped the rumour mill from linking them with additions.
Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings from Anfield.
Saturday morning's Liverpool transfer talk news roundup:
Liverpool 'have deadline to complete Thiago Alcantara deal'
Liverpool reportedly have just over one week to complete a deal for Bayern Munich's Thiago Alcantara.
The 29-year-old is out of contract at the Allianz Arena next summer and is widely expected to leave the European champions in the current transfer window.
Liverpool have been strongly linked with the Spain international, although Bayern chief Karl-Heinz Rummenigge recently insisted that the Reds have not been in contact over a potential move.
Jurgen Klopp's side are believed to be interested, but according to Varsky Sports, the Premier League champions only have just over one week to close a deal for the experienced midfielder.
Thiago was in impressive form for treble-winning Bayern during the 2019-20 campaign, scoring three times and contributing two assists in 40 appearances in all competitions.
Manchester United and Arsenal have also previously been mentioned as potential suitors.
Newcastle United join race for Liverpool's Rhian Brewster?
Newcastle United have reportedly joined a growing list of clubs interested in signing Rhian Brewster from Liverpool this summer.
The 20-year-old impressed during a loan spell with Championship side Swansea City last season, scoring 11 goals in 22 appearances for Steve Cooper's men.
Brewster has maintained that form in pre-season with three goals in Liverpool's two friendlies so far, although he remains firmly behind the likes of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino in the pecking order at Anfield.
Divock Origi and Takumi Minamino provide further competition for places up front in Jurgen Klopp's side, and Brewster's desire to be playing first-team football could result in him looking to leave the club either on loan or permanently.
A host of Premier League clubs have been credited with an interest in the Under-17 World Cup winner, and The Chronicle reports that Newcastle have now added their names to the list.
The Magpies struggled with goals last season but are likely to face stiff competition for Brewster's signature, with the likes of Aston Villa, Brighton & Hove Albion, Burnley, Crystal Palace, Sheffield United and Fulham among the other clubs thought to be monitoring his situation.
