Liverpool are reportedly prepared to allow Georginio Wijnaldum to leave on a free transfer next summer.
Since his arrival at Anfield in 2016, Wijnaldum has emerged as a key man for Jurgen Klopp, helping Liverpool win the Champions League and Premier League over the past two campaigns.
However, with the Netherlands international having now entered the final year of his contract, there has been talk of the 29-year-old potentially being open to a fresh challenge.
Nevertheless, according to The Telegraph, Liverpool currently have no plans to offer Wijnaldum the opportunity to remain on Merseyside past 2021.
The report suggests that the top-flight champions view Bayern Munich playmaker Thiago Alcantara as a long-term replacement.
At a time when they are restricted in the transfer market, Liverpool may be open to cashing in on Wijnaldum before the end of the summer transfer window.
