Liverpool reportedly decide to press ahead with their interest in Watford winger Ismaila Sarr.
Despite the Hornets suffering relegation to the Championship last season, Sarr contributed five goals and four assists in his debut year in the Premier League.
That has inevitably led to admirers emerging at other top-flight sides, including Liverpool who have been debating whether to make significant moves in the transfer market.
However, according to The Sun, Jurgen Klopp is ready to give the green light to a £40m approach for the Senegal international.
Providing that Watford do not raise their current asking price, a bid of that size is likely to be accepted, putting Sarr in line to link up with compatriot Sadio Mane.
The 22-year-old has allegedly been preferred to Wolverhampton Wanderers wideman Adama Traore, who may have demanded an immediate starting role at Anfield.
