Daniel Sturridge ruled out of Manchester United clash?

Daniel Sturridge is reportedly not fit enough to return to the Liverpool squad for next week's trip to Manchester United.

Daniel Sturridge has reportedly been ruled out of Liverpool's Premier League clash with Manchester United.

Brendan Rodgers takes his squad to Old Trafford when they return to action next Saturday, and it was hoped that Sturridge would be fit enough to be involved after stepping up his efforts in training recently.

Injuries kept the England striker on the sidelines for much of last season, but despite the progress made in his recovery from hip surgery, The Mirror claims that he will not be ready to play a part against United.

The report suggests that the 26-year-old, whose last appearance came in April, has not yet returned to full training with his teammates.

Philippe Coutinho will also miss the game after picking up a red card in the defeat to West Ham United last weekend.
