Luis Garcia: 'Liverpool fans must be patient with Roberto Firmino'

Former Liverpool midfielder Luis Garcia believes that the fans must be patient with summer signing Roberto Firmino.

Former Liverpool midfielder Luis Garcia has urged the club's supporters to be patient with Roberto Firmino.

Firmino arrived from Hoffenheim for a reported £29m in the summer and he has started two of Liverpool's four Premier League games this season, but Garcia believes that it could take the Brazilian some time to produce his best form.

"It's not easy to come into the Premier League and adapt. I think that he's a very good player but you have to give him time to adapt to the pace of the game, to the players, the different situations in games," the Spaniard told the Liverpool Echo.

"He's a player that wants to do things to change games, like [Philippe] Coutinho does at the moment."

Liverpool return to action with a trip to Manchester United after the international break.
