Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho is reportedly expected to be out of action for six to eight weeks with a knee ligament injury.
The France international landed awkwardly after vying for the ball in the air with Crystal Palace's Bakary Sako during Sunday's 2-1 defeat at Anfield.
The centre-back left the stadium on crutches, but the club have ruled out anterior cruciate ligament damage, which could have kept Sakho out of action for the remainder of the season.
According to The Independent, Sakho will meet a consultant today to learn the extent of the injury, but it is expected that he will be sidelined for around two months.
Dejan Lovren will be given a chance to prove his worth to manager Jurgen Klopp during Sakho's absence.
