Liverpool defender Kolo Toure has insisted that Steven Gerrard can handle the team's FA Cup semi-final defeat to Aston Villa.
Gerrard's hopes of lifting some silverware in his last season at the club were dashed on Sunday as the Reds were beaten 2-1 by Aston Villa at Wembley Stadium.
Despite the disappointment of losing the match, Toure has backed the midfielder to maintain his focus for the remainder of the campaign.
"[Gerrard] is fine. Of course he is sad, like all the dressing room, but he has been in this game for a long time and he knows how to deal with these situations," the Ivorian told PA.
Liverpool are back in Premier League action on Saturday when they face West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns.
