Lille boss Rudi Garcia believes that his team have turned a corner following victory over fifth-placed Rennes.
Les Dogues have endured a disappointing campaign in Ligue 1 and found themselves down in 11th before last night's clash at the Grand Stade Lille Metropole.
However, goals from Chris Mavinga and Dimitri Payet secured a 2-0 win which propels them into eighth place, just three points off a Europa League spot.
"We are on a good run and the players are good right now," Ligue1.com quotes Garcia as saying.
"Everybody's working hard and we know we need to put a run of wins together if we're to climb the table.
"We were at home and playing against a side that stood fifth in the table, a side in form. That raised our performance. We were fluent and enthusiastic in our play."
Lille travel to Ajaccio next Saturday.
