Leicester City attacker Demarai Gray believes that he will earn a call-up into the England senior squad if he continues to progress.

Leicester City attacker Demarai Gray is confident that he will earn a call-up into the England senior squad if he continues to progress at club level.

Gray is an 18-time England Under-21 international, but is yet to represent his nation's senior side.

The 21-year-old was overlooked by Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate for the 2018 World Cup, but he is "pretty confident" that an opportunity will arrive in the future.

"I can't put a timescale on it but me personally, as soon as possible," Gray told Sky Sports News.

"I've already said I believe in my ability and once I stabilise myself in the team, playing week in week out and adding to my game and contributing in games, there's no reason why I can't get a call-up.

"Knowing the manager and having worked with him before, I know what he's like and I'm pretty confident as long as I keep my feet on the ground and working hard I'll get my opportunity."

Gray scored three times and registered two assists in 35 Premier League appearances for Leicester last term.
