Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson admits that his side will have to "win ugly" against Blackpool to get their promotion push back on track.

Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson has conceded that his side may need to "win ugly" to get their promotion push back on track when they face Blackpool.

The Foxes have lost their last two Championship games against Peterborough United and Charlton and are now nine points off the pace in the race for automatic promotion.

Pearson told reporters: "I think we've just got to make sure that we deal with their shape, deal with the conditions and play the conditions.

"We might have to [win ugly] because the pitch is so poor. The bottom line though is that results are more important than the performances."

Leicester have two games in hand over rivals Watford and Crystal Palace in the race for the Premier League.
