Leeds United have reportedly decided to sack head coach Paul Heckingbottom, who only arrived at the club in February.
Heckingbottom was appointed as a replacement for Thomas Christiansen, but the former Barnsley boss recorded just 16 points from 16 matches in the Championship.
That has resulted in speculation over the 40-year-old's future at Elland Road and according to Sky Sports News, Leeds have moved to make a change in the dugout.
A report earlier on Friday indicated that Leeds were considering an approach for former Argentina and Lille boss Marcelo Bielsa, and it appears that the Yorkshire giants could now up their attempts to bring in the 62-year-old.
Defender Pontus Jansson has previously called for major changes to be made at the club, who have just completed their eighth campaign at the second tier of English football.
