Leeds United boss Neil Redfearn not interested in Barnsley job

Leeds United boss Neil Redfearn distances himself from speculation linking him with a return to Barnsley.

Leeds United head coach Neil Redfearn has ruled himself out of contention for the vacant Barnsley job.

The 49-year-old spent seven years at Oakwell during his playing career, but insists that he has no desire to succeed Danny Wilson, who was sacked this week.

The former midfielder told the Yorkshire Evening Post that he is "enjoying what [he is] doing" at Leeds and has no intention of leaving the Championship club.

Wilson was relieved of his duties along with assistant boss Chris Hutchings after the Tykes dropped down to 17th place in League One, seven points clear of the drop zone.
