Massimiliano Allegri: 'Cristiano Ronaldo will take time to adapt'

Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri insists that Cristiano Ronaldo will take time to adapt to Italian football following his goalless start to life in Turin.

Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri has insisted that it will take time for Cristiano Ronaldo to adapt to Italian football following his goalless start to life in Turin.

Ronaldo has failed to score in his first two Serie A matches for the club following his blockbuster summer move from Real Madrid - a run which constitutes something of a drought for a player who averaged more than a goal a game during his nine years in the Spanish capital.

However, Allegri is not worried about the 33-year-old's early form and insists that the Portugal talisman is settling in well to his new surroundings.

"It takes time. Italian football is completely different to Spanish football," Allegri told reporters.

"Ronaldo understands that and he is settling in very well. He's a very humble guy and I'm very pleased with the impact he has made so far."

Ronaldo will have another chance to open his Juventus account when they take on Parma on Saturday.
