Real Madrid have reportedly got an agreement in place to sign Celta Vigo striker Iago Aspas in case they fail to acquire Valencia forward Rodrigo Moreno.
The Champions League holders are yet to sign a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo, who joined Juventus in a £99m deal earlier this summer.
Spain's transfer window closes on August 31, and Real are believed to still be searching for a worthy attacker to fill the Portuguese's boots at the Bernabeu.
According to Spanish football show El Chiringuito de Jugones, Aspas has a €40m (£36m) buyout clause in his Celta contract, while the corresponding clause in Moreno's contract stands at €140m (£126m).
As a result, Real are believed to be considering a move for the 31-year-old ex-Liverpool man, who could provide experienced backup to the likes of Gareth Bale, Lucas Vazquez and Marco Asensio.
Aspas has made 306 appearances for Vigo over two spells, scoring 121 goals and registering 26 assists.
