Ipswich Town striker David McGoldrick has signed a new three-year contract with the club.
After falling short of promotion last season, Ipswich have moved quickly to secure the services of their key players for the foreseeable future, with Daryl Murphy and Freddie Sears recently agreeing extensions.
McGoldrick has scored 22 league goals since joining the Tractor Boys on a permanent basis in July 2013, and he is excited about the direction the club are heading in under the guidance of Mick McCarthy.
"Obviously I'm delighted to have signed the contract and I'm looking forward to being part of the future here," the 27-year-old told the club website. "There is a real buzz about the place at the moment and it's great to be part of it.
"The squad is the best I have known in my time here, with the options we have now. We've got real competition for places all over the pitch."
Ipswich will look to continue their unbeaten start to the season when they visit Preston North End on Saturday.
