Inverness Caledonian Thistle defender Gary Warren has broken his leg, the club has confirmed.
The 30-year-old was taken to hospital after yesterday's Scottish Premiership season opener against Motherwell following a challenge by Stephen Pearson.
Caley Thistle were already struggling for numbers due to injury, and named just five substitutes for yesterday's 1-0 loss. Manager John Hughes has said that the club cannot afford to bring in cover.
"We haven't got the budget. We've got players that are adaptable and can play in a number of positions, with one or two that we need to get up to speed," he told the Inverness Courier.
"There isn't the money to bring anyone else in so we're just hoping to get one or two back."
Central defender Josh Meekings was also injured in the match, with Jordan Roberts, Carl Tremarco and James Vincent also unavailable due to injury.
