Roberto Mancini: 'Difficult to sign Ezequiel Lavezzi this month'

Inter Milan boss Roberto Mancini doubts whether Argentine attacker Ezequiel Lavezzi, who will be out of contract in June, will leave Paris Saint-Germain this month.

Inter Milan boss Roberto Mancini has claimed that it will be difficult for his club to sign Ezequiel Lavezzi from Paris Saint-Germain this month.

Lavezzi has entered the final six months of his contract at PSG and it is understood that the Argentine will not pen a new deal with the French champions.

Despite talk that the attacker could leave his current club for a cut-price fee in January, Mancini is of the opinion that the 30-year-old will remain in Paris until the end of the season.

"Why would he leave PSG, where he's winning the league and playing in the Champions League? He'll be a free agent in June, and there could be a chance, but at the moment I think it's difficult," Mancini told reporters.

Inter are just one of a number of clubs said to be interested in Lavezzi, who represented Italian side Napoli for five years before joining PSG in 2012.
