Juan Pablo Carrizo is proud to join Argentinian compatriots Javier Zanetti and Rodrigo Palacio at Inter Milan.

Inter Milan's new goalkeeper Juan Pablo Carrizo has admitted that he is "very proud" to be playing for the club after joining from Lazio in January.

Carrizo said that it was a particular honour to be following fellow Argentines Javier Zanetti and Rodrigo Palacio in joining the club.

"I'm here to give my all, to help my teammates," he told Inter's official website. "It's an honour to join Inter.

"I'm very proud to be part of this great squad of players, many of whom I already know. I've already heard from Javier Zanetti and Rodrigo Palacio who congratulated me. It's a very special moment for me."

Carrizo played 25 times in Serie A in five years at Lazio.
