The agent of Ivan Perisic has warned Inter Milan that they will need to submit an increased bid for the Wolfsburg winger.
The Nerazzurri were rumoured to be turning their attention to a move for Genoa's Diego Perotti after baulking at Die Wolfe's valuation of the player.
However, Perisic agent, Tonci Martic, has said he is hopeful that a deal can be done for his client, especially if Inter sell Mateo Kovacic to Real Madrid.
He told FCInter1908: "I hope the Kovacic transfer unlocks negotiations. I think we can do it.
"We're not yet at the point where we can start talking about a medical. I hope Inter can raise their offer to convince Wolfsburg, because at the moment the Germans would prefer not to sell Perisic."
Perisic joined Wolfsburg from Borussia Dortmund in 2013.
