David Abraham overcomes his groin injury to start for Hoffenheim against Mainz, who are without defender Jan Kirchhoff for today's Bundesliga encounter.

David Abraham has returned to the Hoffeheim starting lineup for their Bundesliga game against Mainz this afternoon.

The defender has overcome a groin strain and will slot into the back four for the home side.

Jan Kirchhoff was expected to be back for Mainz this afternoon, but the 22-year-old centre-back has failed to recover from his injury in time.
