Joachim Low maintains that he has no plans to quit as Germany manager in 2014.

Germany manager Joachim Low has rejected claims that he said he would walk away from the post after the next World Cup.

Low has been in charge since 2006, when he succeeded Jurgen Klinsmann as national team boss.

The former Stuttgart manager has made it clear that he never said he will be leaving, despite the fact that his contract ends in 2014.

"I never said that I will stop in 2014. Do you know of such a statement?" he said in an interview with Bild.

"A contract extension is not currently up for debate. I have been here since 2004 (initially as assistant manager). I know everyone here well and eventually we will have a discussion about my contract, but in private."

Low also went on to say that his side will learn a lot from their last game, where they let a four-goal lead slip against Sweden.

He continued: "Painful lessons against Sweden are helpful despite the pressure. We will learn from such experiences to perform better in the future."

Germany are currently top of Group C in the World Cup qualifying and are unbeaten.
