Report: Fulham close in on Dwight Gayle loan signing

Crystal Palace striker Dwight Gayle could reportedly be set for a loan move to Fulham this season.

Fulham are on the verge of completing the loan signing of Crystal Palace striker Dwight Gayle, according to reports.

The 24-year-old joined the Premier League side two years ago, but two thirds of his league appearances have come from the substitutes bench.

The Mirror claims that Gayle has fallen down the pecking order at Palace thanks to the arrival of loan signing Patrick Bamford and the reported deal to bring Connor Wickham to the club.

The paper reports that Fulham have made a season-long loan bid to sign the Englishman and the deal could be wrapped up quickly.

Gayle joined Palace from Peterborough United for £6m.
