Agent: 'Brede Hangeland has Premier League offer'

The agent of Brede Hangeland hints that his client could make a swift return to the Premier League after being released by Fulham on Tuesday.

The agent of Brede Hangeland has hinted that his client could make a swift return to the Premier League after being released by Fulham on Tuesday.

The Championship-bound Cottagers terminated the defender's contract earlier this week, with the player himself - who spent six-and-a-half years at Craven Cottage - later criticising the club over the manner of the departure.

Nevertheless, according to Rune Hauge, the 32-year-old has since courted interest from a top-flight club and will consider his options upon returning from holiday.

"There is interest from the Premier League," Hauge told Perform. "But Brede's on holiday. He was on the way to the airport when he got the message [that he had been released].

"It's a little bit difficult now, he has to finish that holiday time and take it from there."

The Norway international joined Fulham from FC Copenhagen back in 2008.
