Fiorentina midfielder Massimo Ambrosini has highlighted the Europa League playoff tie against Grasshopper Zurich as a pivotal moment in the club's season.
Ambrosini, who joined Viola from AC Milan in the summer, said that he has motivation to succeed at the club and European football is the minimum aim.
"Switzerland is growing as a footballing nation, so Grasshoppers is an important test that can start the season well," Ambrosini told Gazzetta dello Sport.
"The club should not be thinking about a season without European football, so it's an absolutely decisive tie.
"For me the move to Florence was a major change but I have plenty of motivation and the desire to succeed. This team can make the Serie A championship interesting."
Ambrosini was at Milan since 1995 before moving to Fiorentina.
