Half-Time Report: Borussia Dortmund trailing to FC Krasnodar at the break

Pavel Mamaev tucks away a penalty inside the opening two minutes to give FC Krasnodar a 1-0 lead over Borussia Dortmund at half time.

Borussia Dortmund have gone into half time of their Europa League group-stage clash against FC Krasnodar a goal behind after an early setback in Russia.

Mats Hummels was at fault inside the opening two minutes, as his pull-back on Pavel Mamaev saw the hosts awarded a penalty which the midfielder duly converted.

The Bundesliga outfit responded well, first coming close through a combination of Ilkay Gundogan and Jonas Hoffman, before Adrian Ramos's dipping attempt came back off the bar.

Gonzalo Castro was the next visiting player to try his luck, firing narrowly wide of goal with his scissor-kick attempt as Dortmund continued to search for a leveller at the Kuban Stadium.

Following a quiet spell in the game, BVB reasserted their dominance once more when Ramos latched on to Gundogan's through-ball and curled a shot over the bar.

Krasnodar themselves looked as though they may have had another goal in them prior to the break, though, with the half eventually petering out with just the one strike in it.
