Everton defender Johnny Heitinga has insisted that it 'didn't feel right' to leave the Merseyside club to join West Ham United.
West Ham manager Sam Allardyce had stated earlier this week that a deal had been agreed to take Heitinga to Upton Park, but the Dutchman has revealed that he has decided against moving to the East London outfit.
The 30-year-old told De Telegraaf: "The deal has been cancelled. Nothing to do with money, but just the feeling that I got.
"This might be the most important decision of my career, so everything has to be right. We reached the conclusion that this is not the case after we held talks."
Heitinga has not made a Premier League appearance for Everton during the current campaign.
