Everton manager Roberto Martinez has claimed that his team are "enjoying" games in the Premier League after they sealed a 3-1 victory over struggling Aston Villa on Tuesday night.
The Merseyside outfit did not dominate the game, but goals from Ramiro Funes Mori, Aaron Lennon and Romelu Lukaku were enough to triumph.
Villa, who are rooted to the bottom of the table, found the back of the net through Rudy Gestede in the 79th minute, but it proved to be a consolation goal.
"It's one of those displays that from the outside they're not going to be given the credit it deserves," Martinez told Sky Sports News. "Villa are fighting for their lives so we're delighted to get that win and that performance.
"I feel that the squad is in a good moment - there's competition for places, we've been consistent in the last six games. We're enjoying our football and have plenty confidence."
Everton have moved to 10th in the standings above Merseyside rivals Liverpool.
