Roberto Martinez: 'We accept busy schedule'

Everton manager Roberto Martinez reveals that the club "embrace" the challenge of trying to compete in both the Premier League and Europa League.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez has insisted that the club have no issues with being forced to cope with a busy fixture schedule.

The Toffees travel to Old Trafford on Sunday to face Manchester United, just 65 hours after the full-time whistle went in their Europa League game with FC Krasnodar in Russia.

However, Martinez is happy to take on the challenge of playing on two fronts after the club earned a return to Europe last season.

The 45-year-old told reporters: "We really accept the challenge to be able to cope with Europe. We want to be a big club that has the mentality to be ready for every opportunity when we go out on the pitch.

"I don't see it as a problem, as we've worked very hard for the last 12 months to be here. It's a challenge we embrace."

Everton are currently sitting in 15th place in the Premier League table, but they have started their Europa League campaign with four points from two games.
