Seamus Coleman rues wasteful Everton

Seamus Coleman admits that Everton did not do enough to beat Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Saturday.

Seamus Coleman has admitted that Everton did not create enough chances during Saturday's goalless draw at Crystal Palace in the Premier League.

The Toffees missed the chance to climb into the Champions League places as they failed to break down Palace at Selhurst Park.

"You've got to keep the ball of course, and that's something we do under the new manager, but you've got to keep it for a reason and that's to create chances," he told the club's official website.

"We didn't create enough for the amount of possession we had, it's as simple as that.

"We went to Palace playing well and with confidence so with no disrespect to them, the way we're playing we should be coming to these places and getting three points. It wasn't to be, though, because we just couldn't break them down."

Everton have the chance to get back to winning ways in the Premier League on November 23 when they welcome local rivals Liverpool to Goodison Park.
